The history of Muspellsheim is not very long or detailed. The information you get from the website is: It was in 1996 the two-piece band Muspellsheim was formed by drummer Strange and guitarist Svalestad. The demo "Toner av Natten" (Night Hymns) was recorded the same year. Last year the line-up was completed with Abominator on bass and Thengel on the vocals for a permanent basis. The demo "The Killer Beast" was recorded, but very few things happened. Now we strike back, and "A Satanic Ultra" is what we offer.
And what for an offering!! Just check the website and download their new demo. Alls three songs are available there. But dont forget also to get the songs of their first demo, cause "Venom" and "Heartless" are really great tracks. The riffing is powerful and heavy.
The songs on their new release are a bit more drum-dominated and the vocals are much more hateful in my opinion. Although most of the music is pure Death Metal they also include fine breaks to avoid boredom and stupidity.
I hope that they find a record-deal soon to spread their music!
