Karkadan founded in 1997 and already released a CD in 1999 entitled "Eternal Black Reflections". After successful gigs (also Summer Breeze 2001) the second edition of "Eternal Black Reflections" was released in 2002. In November 2003 they entered the studio to record material for the second output "Utmost Schizophrenia" which was available in April 2004.
Proserpine´s comment: I know this band since quite a long time but never really paid attention to their material. Earlier this year I got their album "Utmost Schizophrenia" and liked it very much right from the first moment. Karkadan play a nice melodic yet aggressive mixture of Black/Death and Heavy Metal which stays in your mind a very long time. I like it very much that they don´t have this "faster, louder, more brutal"-attitude, because they prefer to make songs that have an "extra", which can be a very special riff or a sound arrangement other bands don´t have.
