The whole machinery started in 1995 and soon some members gathered to play tunes in the style of My Dying Bride and Katatonia. After some line up changes (like always ;) ) they released their first demo called "Snowfall" in 1999. One year later their second demo "Last Season Purity" was born. They had success at mp3.com, cause their music was downloaded more than 10,000 times. In 2002 they signed a 4-album-deal with Elitist Records. Shortly afterwards they started to compose music for their first CD with the nice name "Tears Of Mortal Solitude". Due to some troubles with stolen equipment etc. the album was finally released nine months later.
Proserpine´s comment: The CD "Tears Of Mortal Solitude" was sent to me for reviewing and first I didn´t expect good music in this promo-CD, but after some seconds I was convinced, that this is the most beautiful music I listened for a long time. Forest Stream are true masters of Doom with some brutal influences, but always with this majestic melancholy. This music makes you somehow sad, but it is good sadness...you can also relax while listening and enjoy the nice and symphonic tunes. Visit their very beautiful website, download some songs and I am sure you will not be disappointed if you like Doom Metal.
