This is a young two-man-band from Norway which started some years ago with the origin band called Håvamål. They had some problems with the drummer and so they decided to make their own band. As a result they created Dingir Xul. Now in early 2003 they released their first demo entitled "Cthulhu Arise", which was recorded in Zeitgeist Studio with the help of Vrangsinn of Carpathian Forest (he also played drums on this demo). Musically they set themselves no borders at all, because they like to include all styles of (metal)music, but if you listen to them it is more Black Metal-influenced.
Proserpine´s comment: The two Cthulhu-brothers were posting at the same forum as me and so we got in contact. They were so nice to send me their demo then and now I really like to take them as my BOTM. As I already mentioned they play norwegian Black Metal, but on their album "Cthulhu Arise" there are also some calmer songs which I really like. There is for example "Memories Of You" which has a nice chorus and clean, but powerful lyrics. I like the lyrics at all, cause they are parted and sung by both of them. So there are 9 cool tracks on their first release and I hope they will find a record deal soon! On their website you can download one new song, but unfortunately no tracks of "Cthulhu Arise". I hope they will add at least some previews soon.
