All started in 1995 with a band called Twilight. They released two demos called "Twilight" and "The Melancholy Of The Northern Landscapes". After a lot line-up changes and rehearsals they recorded the Promo "Flames Of Madness" in 1999 in Llai Studios (Tornio/Finland).
In summer 2000 they changed their name to Unbound, cause this name fits better and they didnt want to be mixed-up with the italian Power Metal band with the same name. After the recording of the "Elaborate The Torture" Promo CD in November 2000, they decided to change the bandname to Deathbound. Blastmor of Thyrane joined the band for session-drums. In 2001 the band consists of Kai Jaakkola - Vocals, Pete Seikkula - Guitar, Tommi Kuntz - Bass, Blastmor - Drums and they worked on new material with more brutal Death Metal elements instead of the Thrash-stuff.
In 2002 they got a record deal with Woodcut Records. Cause of the lack of time Blastmor left the band and Mika Q replaced him on drums. Pete & Mika Q have composed and rehearsed new Deathbound tracks and the studio will be entered in september 2002 to record the new not-yet-titled-album.
Proserpine´s comment: I found the website of the band by coincidence as I was surfing in the net. I downloaded some songs and liked the material very much. It is the perfect mixture of brutality and aggression. The vocals are nicely weaved into the songs and I really like the guitars and the pounding drums. When you like Death Metal, you should check them out. Excellent band!
